Calvin Abueva doubtful for semis Game 3 due to fractured nose

Calvin Abueva may sit out Game Three of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup semifinals, a crucial matchup for Magnolia as they aim to close out the series against Phoenix.

Abueva revealed that he sustained a nose injury while trying to intercept a pass to Johnathan Williams in Wednesday’s game.

Magnolia seeks to secure a finals spot with a sweep on Sunday as they prepare to take on Phoenix once more at the Mall of Asia Arena.

“Tinamaan,” said Abueva.

Despite sustaining a blow to the nose, Abueva still managed to see action for 15 minutes and 34 seconds, ultimately tallying eight points, five rebounds, and two assists.

Abueva expressed his unwavering commitment to continue playing by expressing his intention to locate the protective mask he utilized in 2012 after enduring a broken nose while playing for Alaska. However, before proceeding, he must obtain a medical clearance from his doctor.
